openSUSE mengadopsi lisensi baru yang didasarkan pada lisensi yang digunakan oleh Fedora. Lisensi baru yang akan digunakan untuk rilis openSUSE 11,1. "Pengguna tidak perlu lagi untuk menyetujui lisensi. Ini bukan sebuah EULA, ini lisensi pemberitahuan," ujar Joe Brockmeier, Komunitas openSUSE Antara. Ini merupakan upaya membuat openSUSE mudah untuk mendistribusikan kembali dan membuat modifikasi.

Saya pengemar baru OpenSuse 11
saya mengikuti workshop instalasi open suse 11, saya coba menginstall open suse di laptop saya..
pada saat boot..live cd bekerja dengan baik..akan tetapi pada waktu masuk ke opensuse laptop saya blank..
dan saya dapat cd tersebut dari workshop instalasi open suse..
Mohon pencerahan teman2 ada yang salah dengan laptop saya atau memang laptop saya tidak bisa di install opensuse..
Jenis laptop saya satellite M305D Amd 64bit
